AI tooling
Pay for the AI subscription your bank keeps declining
ChatGPT, Claude, xAI, OpenRouter, Cursor, GitHub. All of them take Visa. Not all of them take the card your bank gave you, if your bank is in the wrong country.

The tools are global. The billing is not.
Every serious AI product bills in dollars through a US or EU payment processor. If your card was issued somewhere that processor treats as high-risk, you get a decline with no explanation and a support macro telling you to contact your bank. Your bank has no idea either.
So you end up asking a friend abroad to pay for your Claude subscription. Which works, until it doesn't.
A USDT-funded Visa card sidesteps the whole conversation. It presents as a Visa card, because it is one.
What you get
Confirmed working with the big ones
Claude and ChatGPT are named in MPay's own merchant list, alongside xAI, OpenRouter and GitHub. Suno, Kling AI and Cursor show up in their channel posts.
Leave a buffer on the balance
AI subscriptions are among the worst for $0 pre-authorisation checks. ChatGPT and Claude both do it. An exactly-empty card fails the check even though nothing is being charged yet.
One card, every tool
You are not managing a separate payment method per vendor. Same number everywhere.
Top up per-project
Load what a month of API credit costs. When it runs out, it runs out — which is a feature if you have ever left a token budget running.
Subscribing with a crypto card

Fund with a buffer
Load a little more than the subscription price. The extra covers the pre-auth check.

Reveal the details
Tap the card, hit CHECK, copy number, expiry and CVV.

Pay at the vendor
Standard Visa checkout. Renewals draw from the same balance, so keep it topped up.
Check the network before you send. USDT works on BEP20, ERC20 and TRC20. USDC works on BEP20, ERC20 and Base. Anything on a different chain, or any other asset, will not be credited — and there is no published recovery process.
Questions people actually ask
Why does a merchant check my card before charging anything?
It's a pre-authorisation, and it's normal Visa behaviour rather than anything specific to MPay. The merchant asks your card whether it's real and active, sometimes for $0 and sometimes by holding a small amount briefly. ChatGPT, Claude, Spotify, Netflix and Amazon all do it. The catch is that an exactly-empty card can fail that check even when the actual charge is zero, so the fix is to keep a small amount of headroom on the balance. MPay's own guidance says the same thing.
What is MPay?
A Web3 payment platform that issues Visa cards you fund with stablecoins. You connect a wallet, send USDT or USDC, and the balance becomes spendable at any merchant that takes Visa — online today, and in person once the physical card ships. There's no bank account behind it and no conversion step you have to do yourself.
Do I have to complete KYC?
Not in the traditional sense, for most people. MPay's own position is that no traditional KYC is required for most users. You connect a Web3 wallet and that's the signup. Some advanced services or specific regional requirements can still prompt optional verification. We're repeating that caveat rather than burying it, because a card product that promises absolute anonymity and then asks for a passport once your money is inside is a worse deal than one that tells you upfront.
Which networks can I deposit on?
USDT on BEP20, ERC20 or TRC20. USDC on BEP20, ERC20 or Base. That's the complete list. Anything sent on a different network, or in a different asset, will not be credited. MPay is explicit about this and there's no recovery process advertised. Check the chain in your wallet before you confirm, not after.
Can I use MPay from my country?
The virtual card is available in most regions worldwide, though which features you get can vary by jurisdiction for regulatory reasons. MPay hasn't published a country-by-country list, so we're not going to invent one. The physical card will ship to selected countries at launch, and those countries haven't been named yet either.
